Looking for a fun and affordable evening in Burlington? Movies by the Lake is back for its 5th season, bringing free outdoor movies to the waterfront all summer long. Pack a blanket or lawn chairs, bring your favourite movie treats, and settle in for a night under the open sky with family and friends.
There's no ticket line, no assigned seating, and no cost to get in — just a big screen, a stunning lakeside backdrop, and a park full of neighbours ready to enjoy a night out together.
What Is Movies by the Lake?
Movies by the Lake transforms Spencer Smith Park into an open-air theatre every Tuesday night through the summer. As the sun sets over the water, the screen lights up for a family-friendly film, drawing in couples, friend groups, and families with kids of all ages.
The event is proudly presented by the small businesses of Burlington Downtown, with each movie night sponsored by a different local business. It's a true community event, and it's completely free and alcohol-free, making it an easy, low-stress plan for any night of the week.
