Local Charities, and a Heckle Hole: Burlington Dads' Charity Golf Tournament
The Burlington Dads Annual Charity Golf Tournament is happening Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Mount Nemo Golf Club
Burlington 365

Mark it down if you've got a swing (or just thick skin and a sense of humor): the Burlington Dads Annual Charity Golf Tournament is happening Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Mount Nemo Golf Club, 5377 Walkers Line, with a noon shotgun start. 144 golfers come together for what organizers call one of Burlington's most anticipated charity golf events.
Registration options, per the event's official ticketing page: $200 for a single golfer, $800 for a foursome (a group ticket covering four golfers), or $50 if you just want to donate to the cause without playing. The event runs through Zeffy, which the organizers note takes no cut — 100 per cent of ticket and donation proceeds go directly to Burlington Dads' fundraising goal.
Here's what your $200 actually gets you: 18 holes of championship golf, a shared golf cart, lunch (burger, sausage, chips, and a drink), and a premium BBQ dinner catered by Gator Ted's featuring ribs, brisket, corn on the cob, and all the fixings. You also get access to every on-course contest and activity, plus giveaways, prizes, and sponsor experiences throughout the course.
But the golf is really the vehicle here — this event exists to raise money for three local causes:
Shifra Homes, a Burlington-based charity providing safe housing, compassionate care, and life-changing support for young pregnant women and mothers facing homelessness, violence, or crisis, through residential programs, parenting support, education, and wraparound services.
Dare To Be Youth (DTBY), which empowers youth aged 14 to 24 through leadership development, mentorship, mental wellness, financial literacy, and resilience programming.
Burlington Dads – Help A BD Fund, the group's own rapid-response fund for local families facing illness, financial hardship, tragedy, or unexpected life events.
Representatives from all three organizations will be on-site throughout the day to share their stories and connect with golfers.
As for what's happening on the course itself, organizers have packed in longest drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one contests, putting challenges, sponsor activations, games and giveaways, food and beverage sampling, a silent auction, raffles, and a 50/50 draw.
And if you want a taste of something a little different: the Heckle Hole, presented by Shit My Dad Taught Me, sets up shop at the 1st tee with microphones and cameras rolling, ready to chirp every golfer who steps up. Hit the fairway despite the banter and you'll earn a prize — and maybe some internet fame.
Organizers say sponsors, contests, food stations, prizes, and hole activities will continue to be announced in the weeks leading up to tournament day.
One practical note: this tournament sells out every single year. If you're thinking about bringing clients, coworkers, friends, or registering solo, that's apparently not a "maybe get around to it" situation.
