Spring is in full swing, and Burlington has a packed lineup of events to keep you busy. Here's what's on tap for the week of April 18–24, 2026.

Kick off the weekend by giving back. BurlingtonGreen's city-wide Community Clean Up runs throughout the week, with residents, schools, and businesses invited to help keep Burlington's parks and neighbourhoods litter-free. Free supplies are provided — just show up and pitch in. Last year over 12,000 Burlingtonians participated! On Earth Day (April 22), there's also a special Beach Clean-Up at the BurlingtonGreen Eco Hub from 6–8 PM as part of the Butt Blitz campaign.

Explore food and culture at Joseph Brant Museum. The new travelling exhibition eat make share: a taste of immigration opens this weekend and runs through September 5. Created by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, it digs into the surprising histories behind Canadian dishes and how food connects us to place and community. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM–4 PM.

Art lovers, don't miss the Arts Burlington Spring Sale at the Art Gallery of Burlington this Saturday and Sunday (10 AM–5 PM). Over 100 local artists will be showing and selling pottery, photography, sculpture, weaving, woodcraft, and more.

Got something broken at home? Bring it to the Burlington Repair Cafe on Saturday from 10 AM–2 PM, where volunteers will do their best to fix your small household items. Email burlingtonrepaircafe@cogeco.ca to book a time slot.

Families with kids have plenty of options too. The Aldershot Pool hosts a Duck Scavenger Hunt and Craft during their fun swim on Saturday afternoon (1:30–3:30 PM). Thursday, April 24 is a PA Day — Joseph Brant Museum is running an Ooey Gooey PA Day Camp for kids aged 5–12, with slime, oobleck, and playdough on the agenda.

Catch some live theatre at two performances of Hurry Hard by Kristen Da Silva — Saturday at 2 PM and 7 PM, and again Thursday, April 24 at 7 PM. It's the third Canadian play of the season, so a great excuse to support local arts.

Stay civically engaged with a couple of community meetings this week. On Tuesday, April 21, the Mayor's Speaker Series at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre focuses on community safety, connection, and well-being, featuring Mayor Meed Ward and Halton Regional Police (free, registration recommended). Wednesday evening brings a Ward 2 Community Update with Councillor Lisa Kearns, available both in person at City Hall and virtually via Zoom.

Whatever you're into this week, Burlington has something for you. Get out there and enjoy it!
