The Terry Fox Run has become one of Canada’s most cherished fall traditions, uniting communities coast to coast in the fight against cancer. On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Burlington will once again host this inspiring event, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities to carry forward Terry’s dream of finding a cure. With more than 650 communities across the country taking part, Burlington is proud to be part of this national movement of hope, determination, and resilience.
This year’s run will begin at the foot of Brant Street in front of the Waterfront Hotel, with registration opening at 8:00 AM. Runners will start at 9:00 AM, followed by walkers and all other participants at 10:00 AM. The scenic 5km loopwill take participants along Lakeshore Road and Brant Street, east of the Burlington Pier. Routes are fully marked to guide you along the way, and while bicycles are not permitted, rollerblades and wheelchairs are welcome, ensuring accessibility for everyone.
The Burlington Terry Fox Run isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about coming together as a community, celebrating Terry’s incredible legacy, and raising vital funds for cancer research. Whether you’re running, walking, or rolling, your participation makes a meaningful difference.
