Burlington has always had one of the most breathtaking waterfronts in Ontario — and this summer, it's getting a soundtrack to match.
The inaugural Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival arrives June 20–21, 2026, transforming Spencer Smith Park into a two-day celebration of Canadian music, local culture, food, and community. Best of all? It's completely free.
Whether you're a longtime Burlington local or making the trip from the GTA, Lakeshore is shaping up to be the outdoor event of the summer.
What Is Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival?
Lakeshore is a free, multi-stage outdoor festival set along Burlington's stunning Lake Ontario waterfront. Organized by MRG Live — the team behind some of Canada's most beloved concert experiences — the festival is designed from the ground up to become one of Ontario's premier annual cultural events.
Think big stages, great music, local artisans, incredible food, and programming the whole family can enjoy — all against the backdrop of one of the most scenic parks in the region.
The Music
Lakeshore will feature a diverse, multi-stage lineup spotlighting nationally celebrated Canadian artists alongside emerging performers who are making serious noise right now. From indie and folk to pop and beyond, the programming is built to reflect the richness and range of Canada's music scene.
The full artist lineup hasn't been announced yet, so now is the perfect time to follow the festival on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to be the first to know when it drops.
More Than Just Music
True to its name, Lakeshore is as much an arts festival as it is a music one. Expect a vibrant artisan market where local makers and craftspeople will be showcasing and selling handcrafted goods, unique finds, and specialty products — the kind of things you won't find at a mall.
Food lovers will be equally at home. An extensive selection of food trucks will be on-site, bringing flavour from across the culinary spectrum. Grab a bite, find a spot by the water, and let the music wash over you.
And for families? Lakeshore has you covered. The festival features dedicated family-friendly programming, making it the kind of event where parents and kids can show up together and everyone leaves happy.
Spencer Smith Park: The Perfect Stage
There's a reason Spencer Smith Park was chosen as the festival's home. One of Burlington's crown jewels, the park sits right on the waterfront and offers sweeping views of Lake Ontario, ample green space, and the kind of open, welcoming atmosphere that makes a summer festival feel truly special.
It's the perfect natural canvas for a celebration of this scale — and if you haven't spent a summer evening there yet, this June is your excuse.
