The Burlington Tennis Club says it’s already seeing more parents asking about signing up their kids for tennis. That’s after the club’s Victoria Mboko won a major tournament Thursday night as she emerged as one of the top international tennis stars.
Everybody at the Burlington club is thrilled about Mboko winning the Canadian tennis championship at the National Bank Open in Montreal. They say she worked hard for that success when she training in Burlington and is setting an example for more champions in the future.
At the Burlington Tennis Club, they’re counting on Mboko to go on to bigger things, starting with the U.S. Open later in August, and Burlington’s mayor says this is only the beginning of an extraordinary career for Mboko.
