The Role
We’re looking for a creative, community-minded Social Media Manager to lead the day-to-day growth and engagement of Burlington 365’s social media presence — primarily on Instagram, potentially with support across Facebook, TikTok, and emerging channels.
This person will play a key role in shaping our brand voice, curating local content, managing campaigns, and collaborating with local businesses, creators, and partners to tell Burlington’s story in fresh, inspiring ways.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow Burlington 365’s social media accounts (primarily Instagram).
Plan and schedule content using a strategic, local-first approach.
Curate and create posts highlighting local businesses, events, and experiences.
Engage with the community — respond to DMs, comments, and tagged posts.
Collaborate with local partners for sponsored content and promotions.
Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and report insights.
Assist in photo/video content creation and influencer-style shoots as needed.
Stay current with social trends, local happenings, and platform updates.
Qualifications
Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, publication, or business.
Strong understanding of Instagram best practices, Reels, and storytelling.
Excellent writing skills with a friendly, community-driven tone.
Basic photography and content creation skills.
Familiarity with Burlington and the surrounding region is a huge plus.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple campaigns.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut/Reels editing.
Knowledge of local SEO and social analytics.
Comfortable appearing on camera or collaborating with local creators.
