The CNE is inviting one lucky Ontario couple to exchange vows under the SuperWheel during this year’s fair. Here’s how to enter.
As summer winds down, Toronto’s iconic end-of-season tradition is kicking off with something truly unforgettable: a chance to get married at the Canadian National Exhibition. The CNE has officially launched a new contest called Marriage on the Midway, offering one Ontario couple the opportunity to celebrate their love beneath the Fair’s glowing SuperWheel—complete with cotton candy, carnival rides, and a boy band serenade.
Set for August 23, the ceremony will be a symbolic (non-legally binding) celebration designed for couples who share a deep connection to the CNE. Whether it was a first date, an annual tradition, or a shared love of the Fair, organizers are calling for stories that show just how meaningful the CNE can be. Submissions are open until August 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET, and the winning couple will be announced by August 15.
The prize package is packed with fun and nostalgia. The selected couple will receive:
A symbolic wedding ceremony under the CNE SuperWheel
A custom-designed wedding cake by a local Toronto bakery
Unlimited ride passes for up to 20 guests
$500 in food vouchers
VIP seating at the CNE Bandshell to watch 98 Degrees perform their wedding ballad “I Do (Cherish You)” live
